April 2020 + GALAXYCON! (a year late, sorry)
Hi guys, long time no see, huh? Life as we know it has been crazy but I've managed to stay somewhat afloat during all this craziness. One thing I thought I'd do would be to share some photos from GalaxyCon that I went to early november last year. Also, people need a few photos of different movie and tv show characters anyway, cause as Matt Smith once said, "if the world was a bit like comic con, we'd all be little happier". I think I agree with this statement because everyone is so freaking nice at comic con. But anyway. I will get to talking about all things Doctor Who (and yes I did watch series 12 and it was fantastic, but more on that later). On to some pictures, hope you enjoy!!!
I love when I get to see Doctor Strange cosplay. What's cool about this guy? EVERYTHING, especially the glowing magic sigil in his right hand. Couldn't stop geeking out about it, it was so cool.
Does this cosplay need any words? Yes he does because I grew up on School House Rock, and yes GalaxyCon was my first big comic con because my other first one was a small local one, but I digress. Being the homeschooled nerd that I am, I did not pass up the opportunity to get a picture.
Found this guy in the room where there was a Q&A happening with William Shatner (yes I was in the same room as William Shatner of Star Trek fame, calm down). I adore Marvel, and my favorite movie is Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier, and ohmygosh the DETAIL, guys. Isn't it gorgeous???? (sorry about the lighting, by the way).
Nabbed a pic of this cute lil Aziraphale from the Amazon show Good Omens. Unfortunately I didn't grab a pic of Crowley, although there were several that I saw throughout the day. Still feel bad that I didn't get a picture of Crowley but I love how spot on the costume here is.
Took this as one of those moving pictures but I'm not sure it'll work the same way on a blog page. Yes, I'm a Star Wars fan. Yes there will never be a day where if R2-D2 is present that I will not snap a picture. R2 got stuff done, and he deserves about as much respect as Princess/General Leia. But anyway.
Had to edit this picture a bit (so that's why it's super skinny, sorry). Darth Vader was right next to him and they were standing in front of a pillar giving a particularly menacing but awesome presence. Plus their pose game was ON. POINT. I cannot stress this enough.
A particularly dapper (and handsome) Loki. Saw a whole ton of Lokis, actually: Lady Lokis, Lokis from the first Avengers movie, and then a guy with black and yellow clothing with the words "Low-key" on the front of his shirt. It was hilarious, and I regret not getting a picture of that.
A hela fabulous Hela (ha, see what I did there?) whose pose game was also on point.
DC HEROES UNITE! Managed to find a Batman cosplayer which was pretty cool.
LOVE this idea: TARDIS Prime. Honestly I would love if there was a crossover episode with Doctor Who where the Autobots showed up. I'd be so down for that.
I'm telling you. Star Wars cosplayers always know how to epically pose, it's rather nice actually, because then your photos turn out rather nice because of their awesome posing skills.
Kylo Ren and Vader together. All the epic yes, guys. All the yes.
Got this picture of Mysterio for my boyfriend (who sadly couldn't come with me that day) but still. All the detail.
Yes I got a picture with The Winter Soldier cause 1, attention to detail was badass, and 2, who wouldn't want to get a picture with this guy?
Got this picture of Killmonger's black panther. Yeah the background is slightly weird but come on, guys. The costume though.
Ok I am not a pro when it comes to the X-Men movies but I'm assuming that this is from the latest movie Dark Phoenix I believe. Was pretty impressed with the whole set up over all which is why I asked to take a picture.
Alexander Hamilton. My name is Alexander Hamilton, and there's a million things I haven't done, but just you wait, just you wait.... (sorry I'll stop, couldn't resist).
Yes this is a TARDIS bear. Yes the person wearing it looked uncomfortably hot. Yes it looks a *bit* disturbing. I still took a picture because what other times in your life are you going to find a TARDIS bear??
And now what you've all been waiting for.... A Q&A with William Shatner! I haven't seen any of the old Star Trek tv show just yet, but I definitely want to at some point when I don't have so much online schooling to worry about. One thing that I do know that he's famous for is being a part of television's first interracial kiss which was a big deal back then, so there's a massive amount of respect that I have for him because of that. Enjoy!
And we have come to the end of part 1 of GalaxyCon photos, but there will be a second part, I promise.
Happy monday!
