Wednesday 9/20/17 (9th month, 2017)

Hey, guys. Sorry I haven't posted much in a while. I've been busy with researching possible online college candidates and things like that. But guess what. You know how I've had a REALLY bad luck streak when it comes to comic cons?  yesterday on Facebook, my older sister mentioned me in a comment on a post from Mesa County Libraries (which is about an hour and a half from where I live) I looked at it and turns out that they're having a comic con. AND IT'S FREE.

And I was like:

Cause finally, finally, FINALLY! This is something I can actually afford. And yes, I did realize just how pathetic that statement just sounded but I'm not caring for the moment. BUT. This is what I'm cosplaying.

Usually at the comic cons like Dragon Con or Wizard World or the one in San Diego you see a lot of cosplayers doing Doctors 1-12 and a few have probably been cosplaying 13 as well. But it's not very often that you see an 8th Doctor cosplayer, correct me if I'm wrong. But anyway, this outfit is from The Night of The Doctor where Paul McGann's Doctor was once again reprised........ for about 6 minutes. I never really knew much about 8 till then cause I hadn't ever seen the movie. (Still don't know if I want to, I've heard more negative reviews about it than positive. But might as well try for myself.) But after the Big Finish audio dramas that I've listened to with 8, he's become a bit of a favorite. I kinda thought that this was difficult to cosplay but let's face it: 10 is a bit harder to cosplay cause it's more for the people who have money to actually use to get an official 10th Doctor coat. 12 has been the easiest one for people to copy cause Peter actually made sure that it was easy for cosplayers to do. But anyway. Lo and behold, once I looked around the house for the materials like the boots, sash, vest, and shirt, I had pretty much most of the outfit put together. The coat I had to buy from a consignment store in town, which wasn't too bad. Oh, and I also got THIS off amazon:

This is the sonic screwdriver used by 8 in the too-short episode. So pretty much everything is coming together for once, which makes me REALLY REALLY happy. Cause finally I can actually go to a comic con! Might not be a very big one but I'm so incredibly grateful that it's at least in an area that's easy to drive to. Also, I have been thinking about making a 12th Doctor fan video with THIS song:

Yes it is weird album art but I thought it would fit rather nicely. Let me know what you think about it.
